We could not be prouder of our employee (and good friend) Dan Buxton. Outside of furniture Dan is a volunteer for the Nottinghamshire Fire Service Preservation Group and has helped raise £2500 for the charity. Last week the group Dan is a part of were recognised for the work they do and given an award.



The Nottinghamshire Fire Service Preservation Group is a group of volunteers who willingly give up any spare time to raise money for the Firefighters charity.

The Firefighters charity helps serving and ex serving Firefighters through injury, rehabilitation, those who have fallen on hard time and the families who have lost loved ones in the service.



The group has 2 ex Nottinghamshire Fire Appliances a 2002 Dennis Sabre pump and a 1985 Shelvoke 100ft turntable ladder. Both appliances are maintained solely by the volunteers. The group attend fire station open days as well as other events across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire .



This year the group were invited to the Fire Service commendation awards ceremony where they were awarded the award for outstanding contributions to the charity raising £2,500.
