A widescreen plasma tv unit made by Charltons Furniture in the Bretagne collection - B303
This unit has an open central area for housing mixed AV units which has adjustable or removable shelves, and also a hole in the rear to allow cables to you through. This central area is flanked by two storage cupboards that have soft close door hinges and a choice of wooden or silver metal handles.
The Oak tops in this collection can be either in Natural Monocoat Oil or Satin Lacquer, you can read about the difference of these below.
Natural Monocoat Oil offers a more durable finish than many other oils. It is water repellent for a time and as with all oiled furniture excess fluids will need cleaning off quickly and not be allowed to stand. However, it is popular because special waxes within the oil are able to penetrate into the wood at a molecular level to make it repel stains and marks without creating a hard layer, this way the tactile feel of the wood is not lost. With this finish it is also recommended to use monocoat soap on a regular basis and also to re-oil it every 12-24 months.
Satin Lacquer offers a strong and resistant finish on top of oak which protects it, but once again spillages must be dried off as soon as possible.
The lower areas of the furniture can be in the same oak shades as the top above or in a select of painted finishes too.
These durable paint finishes are all water based which are more environmentally friendly and offer better protection against UV light and fading. You'll also be happy to hear that as they are water based they are easier to repair if there is an accident, and there are no chemical smells either.
Handles for doors can be either wooden or chrome/silver
